Verse of the Day

Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?
Matthew 6:25–27

Worry Robs, Trust Restores

The words of Jesus in this passage cut straight through the noise of modern life. We worry about what we will eat, what we will wear, how we will survive tomorrow—and in doing so, we miss the beauty of today. Jesus doesn’t ignore the fact that needs are real. He simply reminds us that they are not ultimate. The birds of the air have no bank accounts or backup plans, yet God ensures they never lack.

The pastor’s message gently confronts us with a choice: anxiety or trust. One path leads to endless striving and exhaustion; the other leads to peace and life. The truth is, worry doesn’t change outcomes. It only robs us of the joy of now. Trust, on the other hand, doesn’t remove difficulty—but it places your burdens into the hands of One who has never failed to provide.

As you reflect today, remember: you are worth more than many birds. If your Father feeds them, He will certainly take care of you. So breathe. Choose trust. And live.

Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father, I release my anxious thoughts to You. Help me remember that You care for me more than I can ever understand. Let me live today in peace, confident that You know what I need before I even ask. Amen.
