Verse of the Day
And Abraham took the knife and lifted it up to plunge it into his son, to slay him. At that moment the Angel of God shouted to him from heaven, “Abraham! Abraham!” “Yes, Lord!” he answered. “Lay down the knife; don’t hurt the lad in any way,” the Angel said, “for I know that God is first in your life—you have not withheld even your beloved son from me.”
Genesis 22:10–12
Trust That Withholds Nothing
There are moments in life when faith is not merely professed but proven. Abraham’s act on Mount Moriah was more than obedience—it was surrender. When the angel called out just in time, it wasn’t only Isaac who was spared. Abraham, too, was preserved from crossing a line of heartbreak that God never intended him to walk alone.
This passage speaks to the kind of trust that places everything—yes, everything-on the altar before the Lord. What is it that you find hard to let go of? Your plans? Your family? Your security? Abraham teaches us that nothing we have is truly ours—everything comes from God and belongs to Him. And when He sees that your heart withholds nothing, He provides more than you could imagine.
Today, let us rise with the faith to say: “Lord, I trust You with all I have.” That is the faith God honors, the kind that unlocks provision, peace, and divine intervention at the perfect time.
Closing Prayer
Lord, help me live with open hands, trusting You with all that I have. May I never withhold anything from You, for all I possess is Yours. Strengthen my faith like Abraham’s, that I may walk in obedience and trust, no matter the cost. Amen.
